Louisiana's Community Health Centers are Hiring!
Are you seeking to launch a rewarding career in healthcare? Are you passionate about serving others, especially those who are medically underserved? Look no further than Louisiana's Community Health Centers!
FQHCs, also known as community health centers, are health care service providers that are federally designated through a competitive grant process. Community health centers provide services to patients of all ages, races, and backgrounds. They are required to provide high quality, affordable, comprehensive primary and preventative care to any patient, regardless of their ability to pay for services or their insurance status. These health centers are strategically placed in areas with low physician-to-population ratios to ensure that all residents have access to health care services. Acting as one-stop-shop medical homes, health centers are vital components in any community.
Health centers are hiring and they are looking for qualified clinical and administrative professionals like you!
Clinical opportunities are available for primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, dentists, psychiatrists, licensed certified social workers, and others.

The state of Louisiana offers loan repayment benefits to eligible providers working at an FQHC through the State Loan Repayment Program.
The purpose of this program is to encourage primary care practitioners to serve in health professional shortage areas. Practitioners who are eligible include those who are specialty board-certified or have completed a residency in family practice, osteopathic general practice, obstetrics/gynecology, internal medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, or dentistry. Mid-levels include physician assistants, advanced nurse practitioners, and nurse-midwives.
The State Nursing Loan Repayment Program is offered to registered nurses for assistance to repay educational loans in exchange for service in rural health professional shortage areas, FQHC, or rural health clinics. Other loan repayment programs exist for non-citizens, students, etc.
Working in a FQHC will allow you to fulfill your professional goals!
